Offsite Car Parking

Saturday_

  • We hope to be able to park all vehicles on Eden Hill on Saturday, April 18, 2020.

Sunday

  • Offsite parking will be necessary on Sunday, April 19, 2020 for automobiles. 
    • All buses must be registered and must park on Eden Hill on Sunday, April 19, 2020.
      • Buses will not be allowed to park at the offsite lots
      • Buses will not be allowed on Eden Hill if they are not registered, and are not displaying the appropriate Documentation int he window of the Bus.
      • Buses are not allowed to drop off passengers in town or at an offsite lot
    • Please see below for details about arriving in a car and for details about exceptions for handicapped parking.
  • All cars will either be directed to park on Eden Hill or to an offsite parking lot along Route 102, east of the Shrine or Route 7, south of the Shrine. 
    • A police officer or volunteer will guide you to the designated lot.
    •  Please see below for details about arriving in a car and for exceptions for cars with State-issued Handicapped tags.

Saturday

  • All motor vehicles, including buses,  park on Eden Hill on Saturday, space permitting.

Sunday

  • BUSES: All buses will park on Eden Hill

  • VOLUNTEERS: Registered volunteers with special tags WHO ARRIVE BEFORE 9:30 a.m. will be allowed to park on Eden Hill.

  • HANDICAPPED: We are excited to announce that we have expanded our parking lot to allow Handicapped cars WITH HANDICAPPED TAGS ONLY to park on Eden Hill this year. Please respect that we must insist on a state-issued handicapped sticker or tag.

  • ALL OTHER VEHICLES: All other vehicles will be directed to park at the discretion of the Stockbridge police.

    • Our expectation is that all other vehicles will be directed to lots on Route 102 (if arriving from the East) or to the Monument Mountain School, on Route 7 south of Stockbridge, for those arriving from the South, North, or West.) 

    • Free shuttle bus service to the National Shrine will be provided between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. for all pilgrims who have been asked to park at a lot offsite.

 

Handicap parking and facilities

  • On both Saturday and Sunday, we offer designated parking areas on Eden Hill for those vehicles with state-issued handicap designation.
    • Upon entering the grounds, the drivers of such vehicles will be directed by volunteer parking lot attendants to an available parking area.
    • Due to the large volume of pilgrims this weekend, unfortunately there is NO handicapped transportation assistance for the elderly or disabled during Mercy Sunday Weekend.
  • We highly recommend that you have a companion with you, especially if you are using a mobility service.
    • Pilgrims should bring their own wheelchairs.
    • We do provide a handicap section with designated seating and volunteers for the Mass.
      • A handicap ramp is available for those in a wheelchair
    • Handicap accessible outdoor facilities are available.
