For about 20 years, on the fourth Saturday in June, Filipino Americans from across the Northeast have been traveling to the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy to share food, enjoy the company of friends, and, of course, to pray and celebrate Mass.
Encuentro Latino, or Latin Encounter, is a religious celebration held every year at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy. It usually draws more than 5,000 faithful from different countries around the world to praise God’s mercy.
Vietnamese Day at the Shrine includes presentations to adults and youth on the topics of faith and Divine Mercy, the Mass in Vietnamese, and other activities.
