The Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine

In 2007, construction began on a new outdoor worship area to accommodate the growing number of pilgrims visiting Eden Hill.

The Mother of Mercy Shrine provides a sheltered, respectful setting for the celebration of the Eucharist on Divine Mercy Sunday, ethnic pilgrimage days, and other special events whose crowds exceed the capacity of the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy.

The Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine honors our Blessed Mother as the vessel through which Christ, The Divine Mercy, took human form. It reminds us to prayerfully reach out to Jesus through the intercession of His Mother Mary.

You may have a name permanently etched in the “Rays of Mercy” stained-glass window located on the wings of the shrine or engraved in the granite or marble friezes that line the wall of the Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine, click here to learn more.
