Eden Hill is Re-opening on May 31!

Eden Hill will re-open with a daily Outdoor Public Mass and Drive-Thru Confessions, beginning Sunday, May 31, 2020

In the first phase of our re-opening plan, the Marian Fathers are focused on reinstituting the Sacraments of Confession and Holy Communion.

We will be celebrating a daily Mass at 2:00 p.m. on the Shrine’s south lawn, at the Mother of Mercy Outdoor Shrine,

2:00 p.m. Mass will be followed by the 3:00 p.m. Chaplet of Divine Mercy, Benediction, Blessing of religious articles, and a Blessing with the relic of St. Faustina.

Drive-thru Confessions will be available in the large parking lot at Eden Hill’s main entrance.

Confession will be available on weekdays from  1:00 - 2:00 p.m. and on weekends from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 - 4:15 p.m.

Daily Schedule for Phase I of Eden Hill's Re-opening:

2:00 p.m. Mass at the Mother of Mercy Outdoor Altar

3:00 Chaplet, followed by Benediction, Blessing of religious articles, and a Blessing with the relic of St. Faustina.


Weekdays from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. 

Weekends from 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. & 3:30 p.m. - 4:15 p.m.


The Shrine Church and reception area will remain closed to the public in this first phase of re-opening.

​Masses, Enrollments in the Association of Marian Helpers, and St. Faustina oil will be available in the Gift Shop on the weekends.

Live special events on Eden Hill are still cancelled at this time, but we will be live-streaming them, as we did Divine Mercy Sunday, when possible. (Details will be posted on the online Calendar at

We will also continue to live-stream the Daily Mass at 9:00 a.m., the Chaplet at 3:00 p.m., and the Holy Rosary at 5:00 p.m. (Please see below for details)

The Gift Shop will re-open with limited capacity and reduced hours. (Hours may vary, so please check before you come.)

Our Picnic areas remain closed and no gathering is allowed under Phase I of the Massachusetts re-opening plan.

Per the Massachusetts State COVID guidelines, pilgrims visiting Massachusetts from other states are instructed to self-quarantine for 14 days. We will update this site as soon as that instruction changes!

The parking lot restrooms will be available to the public; all indoor restrooms are closed.


Additional Guidelines for Pilgrims visiting Eden Hill:

All pilgrims (over the age of 5) are required to wear a mask.

Please maintain social distancing of at least 6 ft.

There are no golf cart rides available.

Handicapped persons may park near the Shrine in spaces marked for handicapped.​  We ask that handicapped individuals bring a companion to assist them.

The outdoor candle shrines are open.

If you feel that you are exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 after your visit, please email the pilgrimage department at [email protected], as we are required to share that information with others who were here that day.

As all of the events are outdoors, please prepare for both sunny and inclement weather.  In case of severe weather conditions, the Mass and 3 o'clock devotions may be modified or postponed.


Details to Services and Sacraments

At Mass: Please sit one person per bench. (Family members may sit together as a group.)

Holy Communion will be distributed in the hand only, per direction from our local Bishop.  It will be distributed at the sanctuary communion rail.  Please maintain social distancing when waiting. (We understand that you will need to temporarily take off your mask to consume the host.)

Confessions: If more than one person is in a vehicle, then the penitent may leave the vehicle for Confession. ​

The Hour of Great Mercy: The blessing of religious articles and the blessing with the relic of St. Faustina will follow the Chaplet, but without veneration of the relic.

The Marian Fathers at the National Shrine of The Divine Mercy WILL continue live-streaming a Holy Mass, the Chaplet and the Rosary every day, as well as live-streaming special events.**

The Holy Mass is live-streamed in English on the Facebook Page “The Divine Mercy (official)” and on the homepages of the websites and (right below these messages on the Home page) as well as on our YouTube Channel. Following the Mass, a replay is posted on and  (right below these messages,) and on our Facebook Page and YouTubeChannel.

5:00 p.m.    The Rosary for Life

The Chaplet and Rosary are live-streamed in English on the Facebook Page “The Divine Mercy (official)”. Following the live-stream, replays are posted on our Facebook page. As soon as they are also on our other websites and on our YouTube Channel, we will post that information here.
